Content Review Policy
The review workflow
Every new or substantially changed page moves through five steps:
- Brief — the target question, sub-questions, internal links and 3–6 credible sources are defined before writing.
- Draft — written to our answer-first template with a Quick Answer, key takeaways, FAQs and summary.
- Fact-check — every factual claim is checked against the cited source; numbers, dates and study details are verified.
- Compliance check — automated and human checks for disease claims, guaranteed outcomes, missing disclaimers and affiliate disclosures.
- Editorial approval — an editor approves the page and records the review date.
What the dates mean
- Published — the date the page first went live.
- Updated — the date of the last substantive change to the content (not cosmetic edits).
- Reviewed — the date an editor last confirmed the page is accurate and current against its sources, even if nothing needed to change.
Who reviews content
Pages are reviewed by the Live10X Editorial Team. When a licensed clinician or credentialed subject-matter expert reviews a page, their name links to a profile that lists their verified credentials. We don't display reviewer credentials we haven't verified.
Review cadence
- Pillar guides, genetic-testing content and tools: at least every 6 months
- Articles, comparisons and glossary entries: at least every 12 months
- State, metro and city guides: at least every 12 months, and whenever underlying data changes
What triggers an update
- New systematic reviews, major trials or updated clinical guidelines
- Changes to product details from partners we link to
- Reader corrections and questions that reveal a gap
- Search and AI-assistant queries showing readers need a clearer answer
Automated quality checks
Before every deploy, our content pipeline validates required sections (Quick Answer, key takeaways, FAQs), answer length, citations, internal links, schema and risky claim language, and checks programmatic pages for near-duplicate text.
