Trust & transparency
Editorial Standards
Our mission
We translate peer-reviewed research and public-health guidance into plain-English answers people can act on — without hype, fear or disease claims. Every page should leave readers better informed and better prepared to talk with a qualified professional.
Who creates our content
Content is researched, written and fact-checked by the Live10X Editorial Team. Every page shows who wrote it, when it was published, when it was last updated and when it was last reviewed. When a page is reviewed by a licensed clinician or credentialed expert, their name and verified credentials appear in the byline and on their author profile. We never invent authors, reviewers, credentials or testimonials.
Answer first, then nuance
Pages open with a Quick Answer — a direct 40–60 word response to the main question — followed by key takeaways, detailed explanations, limitations, FAQs and a summary. This structure helps readers and makes answers easy for search engines and AI assistants to cite accurately.
Sourcing standards
We prefer the strongest available evidence and cite it on the page. In order of preference:
- Systematic reviews and meta-analyses
- Randomized controlled trials
- Clinical practice guidelines and consensus statements from professional bodies
- Government and public-health resources (NIH, CDC, USDA/HHS, MedlinePlus)
- Large prospective cohort studies
- Laboratory, animal and pilot studies — only as clearly labeled early evidence
Evidence ratings
When we discuss a practice, test or tool we rate the evidence as Strong, Moderate, Emerging or Limited, and we say when findings are mixed. See our research methodology for definitions.
Health-claims policy
Live10X content is educational. We do not:
- Claim any test, supplement, device or practice diagnoses, treats, cures or prevents disease
- Promise outcomes or use words like “guaranteed,” “miracle” or “cure”
- Tell readers to start, stop or change medication
- Present wellness genetic tests as diagnostic
Independence and affiliate relationships
Live10X is an independent publisher and an affiliate of 10X Health. We may earn a commission when readers buy through our links, and every affiliate link is disclosed. Commercial relationships never change our evidence ratings or editorial conclusions — including for products we link to. Read our affiliate disclosure.
Use of AI tools
We use AI tools to help with research organization, outlines and first drafts at scale. AI output is never published unedited: every page is checked by a human editor against its cited sources, run through our automated quality checks and approved under our content review policy. Responsibility for accuracy always rests with the Live10X Editorial Team.
Local guides
Our state, metro and city guides combine public data (such as coordinates, elevation and climate classification) with calculated values (such as daylight hours) and evidence-based guidance. We list public amenities, not paid placements, and we never invent businesses, addresses or reviews. Live10X does not operate clinics.
Calculators, quizzes and assessments
Our tools are educational estimates built on published research about lifestyle factors. They are not medical tests and do not diagnose anything. Each tool explains how it works and what it can't tell you.
